I received a complimentary copy of this book. From grief, worry, guilt, and fear to hope, love, and new beginnings, Strength in the Storm had it all. The author did a great job of capturing so many emotions in this novel. Emma and Sam found themselves dealing with some overwhelming obstacles. Yet, just as all seemed to be looking up, there were some big plot twists. She was a difficult woman and not easy to be around. In this story, Emma ended up serving as a caregiver to Sam Christner’s aunt. Things are looking up, yet the grief is still there. She and the other members of her family are still picking up the pieces of their lives in book two. Emma faced horrible tragedy with the murders of her parents in book one. The author knocked it out of the park with this novel. It is the second book in the series and although you could probably pick this one up and understand what is going on, it will be so much more meaningful if you also read book one, Shelter in the Storm, which is another amazing book. Wow! Strength in the Storm is another powerful story in the Johns Mill Amish Romance series.
